Seahorse

Been having a drawing block. Found that i didnt get the things out i wanted when i was drawing. The pictures in my head wasent the same as the end result of a finished drawing.
It stopped me from drawing for almost 3 month. Almost thought that it wasent for me anymore. Then i realised that the drawings i liked most was the ones that just came out of a random sketch. The ones that i let grow on there own and some times it was crap but other times it become a finished drawing that was really good and better then i could have imagened. So started (needed to give my self a big push to grap a pen and paper) and just started drawing wihtout knowing what it would become. So got this seahorse which i really like :)

Goblins

Finaly back to drawing. Feels like its been forever! So here is some new stuff

Always thought goblins was a fun thing. Tryed to draw them alot back in the days but kind of forgot about it but a few days ago i started playing goblin on world of warcraft and couldnt stop getting ideas with goblins.
Also got a book called "A Field Guide to Goblins: The Goblin Companion" with alot of short explanesions of differend goblins and there names.
Started playing a character called Candlewic of which the book say
"Låmpsöniüs is, along with the Cändlewic and Agmøüs, one of the keepers of the Goblin Hoard. Day and night they stand on guard ... day in ... day out ... never sleeping ... never eating... never taking holidays ... never taking weekend breaks to get away from it all .. How do they keep at it? Nobody knows. What do they live on? We can only guess . How do they remain so ever vigilant? No one can ever start to begin to conceive. But purhaps the biggest riddle of them all is the one that will never be answered: What it the goblin Hoard a hoard of? Not even they have the faintest idea"
But thought about making a cute goblin girl in christmas cloth. So started figgering out how goblin girls looks and here is what i come up with so fare.

Maja Underwater

Finished a new painting today. Had to. My sister is coming by tomorrow and promised to show it to her then.

Im realy happy with this one. Which is realy rare. Normaly it takes me a few days, if not longer, to be ok with what i make.

Did this one in photoshop without making a pensil sketch first as i normaly do. Was made from a picture of my sister so didnt feel i had to. From the picture changed the lighting, colours, hair, shadows. Basicly, i kept the face structure to help me figger out how to add shadows and lighting my self (wont help me much just to copy anymore).

The first few hours of the drawing i was sure it was going to be realy bad. Disatures. But thought about it as practise, that it didnt need to be the most beautiful end result, as long as i learned from it. It worked realy well and managed to finish it in just a few days. Started with it Saturday and done today, Tuesday.

My first blog

I finaly finished my camel. Started out as just a fast sketch. Thought i would use it to practise colours as i need to work on that alot. Then i started to think about a middle-east theme for the idea of a story i havent been able to work out how to tell.
So it nicely fit in to each other. I normaly have alot of ideas that im working on either in my head trying to work out how i want to tell this story/idea or (next step) with pen and paper, lots of sketch work, trying to get the flow/movement/feeling right or (next step) in photoshop where i clean up the sketch, add colour, get a finished piece.
Ill try to add some links to a few places where i upload most of my stuff, but will add things here too from now on.

So the camel
